I accompany individuals during times of crisis, transition, deep emotions, or seasons of shift, overwhelm, discernment, as well as longer-term, everyday seasons. Accompaniment care sessions are based on the modalities of presence, deep listening, guided meditations, and somatic practices. Sessions are typically 45 minutes to an hour. Offered intermittently or perennially.
I understand spiritual care as a dynamic that encompasses inner and social dimensions. My commitment is to walk with people on a path that integrates spiritual and collective attunement, out of recognition that spirit care is a necessary resource for survival and the capacity to love and build amidst deep pain and suffering. I focus on being and connection to the earth as anticapitalist and liberative practices.
I co-facilitate group spaces and formations such as healing circles, ritual gatherings, peer support groups, communities of practice, and retreats. I prefer to co-facilitate with partners, considering group composition, size, and dynamics.
The contexts of my experience in facilitating groups include organizing spaces (for activism and coalition building), peer learning cohorts, board meetings, and care support groups. Facilitation is a site of collaboration, creativity, and emergent processes, and I aim to be adaptive and iterative.
I provide editorial support on two levels: conceptual/content and copyediting. Words have profound impact, and as someone who has been transformed and restored by words of various mediums, I am committed to applying inclusive, expansive, reclamatory, liberative, and creative lenses in editorial support.
In addition to being an editor for an Asian American publication, I’ve regularly provided writing support to peers, colleagues, and clients throughout my life. Types of work I edited include nonfiction, fiction, academic (dissertation support), application pieces (personal statements, essays), and multimedia works.
